Black Sheep Privacy Policy
Black Sheep is a multiplayer social deduction game. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can request deletion.
What we collect
- Account data for signed-in users: sign-in provider, email address from the provider when available, display name, and profile photo URL when available.
- Gameplay profile data: username, display name, games played, games won, lifetime points, and in-room friend connections.
- Operational game data: room membership, lobby presence, round state, votes, clues, and game results while a match is active.
- Guest session data: temporary anonymous profile and active-game state used only for the current session.
What we do not currently collect
- No camera access.
- No photo library access.
- No microphone access.
- No push notifications.
- No receipt scanning, purchase parsing, or document uploads.
Why we collect data
- To let signed-in players keep a saved profile.
- To show completed-game stats in the Profile screen.
- To automatically connect signed-in players who join the same room as friends.
- To run real-time multiplayer rooms and keep games synchronized.
- To support account deletion and privacy-related support requests.
How long we keep data
- Signed-in account records remain until the user deletes the account.
- Guest session records are deleted when the guest signs out, and guest stats are not kept long term.
- Completed-game stats for saved accounts are retained until account deletion.
- Active room data is kept only as long as needed for the room and match lifecycle.
Whether data is linked to the user
For signed-in users, account, profile, stat, and friend data are linked to the signed-in Firebase account. Guest session data is temporary and not intended for long-term retention.
Third parties and processors
Black Sheep uses Firebase services from Google to support authentication, database storage, callable backend functions, and hosting of legal notices. We do not sell personal data.
Sharing
We do not publicly share personal account data outside the game experience. During gameplay, your display name and game actions are visible to other players in the same room.
Account deletion and data deletion
Signed-in users can delete their account from the Profile screen. Deleting an account removes the app profile, saved stats, and friend links associated with that account. Guest users can end their session from the Profile screen, which clears guest-only data.
